When did you start blogging for VoucherCodes?

Unbelievably, I've been a VoucherCodes tech and gaming blogger for over 10 years! In an industry that moves so rapidly, I've seen things expand and get bigger beyond recognition, and other things recede and disappear into nothingness... but enough about my stomach and hairline. All joking aside, it's been fascinating to see how technology has evolved during my time as a blogger, and I've loved researching and writing about the newest video games and gadgets. Speaking of tech and gaming, my favourite gadget of all time is the Kindle eReader, while my favourite video game is Bloodborne. In fact, I love writing about these subjects so much that outside of VoucherCodes I'm a full-time journalist writing for the Daily Express.

What’s the best saving you’ve ever made?

Working for VoucherCodes has made me pretty savvy when it comes to saving money, which is handy when most of your purchases are priced in triple figures. The last time I bought a TV I managed to save a few hundred quid simply by visiting the Curry's page on the VoucherCodes website and looking at the deals - there are almost always discounts available on TVs, so I would recommend always checking the Curry's page on VoucherCodes before you buy. What made this particularly memorable was that I was able to get the better model of the TV I wanted for less money than I'd put aside for my budget!

What are your top money saving tips?

If you've come to VoucherCodes then you're already on track to save some cash, but here are a few more money saving tips I've picked up throughout the years:

1. Try to be patient when buying new tech, as it's almost always guaranteed to come down in price after a few months on sale.

2. Keep an eye on the calendar. While there are discounts to be had on a daily basis, it might be worth waiting until Boxing Day or Black Friday if you're planning to make a particularly extravagant purchase.

3. Trade in your old games and tech. Whether it's eBay, CEX or with the manufacturer itself, you can earn money back by getting rid of your old stuff.

4. Starting with VoucherCodes, sign up for different mailing lists. Not only will you stay in the loop regarding the latest deals, but some brands offer exclusive discounts just for signing up.

5. If you're lucky enough to be a student, keep an eye out for student discounts with VC Students. Likewise, if you're currently in employment, check out your company benefits page for surprise discounts you may not even realised you had.
