I have such fond memories of visiting Edinburgh Zoo as a child and the next time I visit Edinburgh, I’ll make sure to plan another visit. I love how many different animals there are to discover including lions, tigers, penguins, giraffes, alpaca, cheetah and zebra, to name a few.
Another thing I love about Edinburgh Zoo is its dedication to conservation, as part of The Royal Zoological Society of Scotland (RZSS). In addition to caring for the animals at the zoo, the goal is to reverse the decline of at least 50 species – from pine hoverflies and wildcats in the Cairngorms National Park to giraffes in Uganda, by 2030.
