Well, for starters, if you’re a student you may well be able to use your identification to get money off the fare. Furthermore, if you’re a Coachcard holder, or are thinking about becoming one, you could benefit from a whopping third off your fare. There are three categories available: Senior, Disabled and Young Persons.

  Can I alter my ticket after booking at National Express?

  Yes, you certainly can. You have the option of booking a Fully Flexible ticket, which is the most comprehensive choice. This ticket allows you to benefit from fee-free amendments and full refunds up to 24 hours before departure. You’ll pay any excess, if the new route is more expensive, and the booking fee is non refundable. With Standard tickets you can pay £5 (plus any excess) for amendments any time before departure. But, if you’re sure of your ticket, you can bypass the amendments options and choose the cheapest possible option, Restricted tickets.

• Seat Reservations

  Can I reserve a seat?

  Yes, indeed you can! You have the option of paying £2 for a Standard seat reservation, which will ensure you a window seat, on most routes, in one of the first five rows. If you’re travelling on the double decker service between Bristol and London you can pay £4 for a Premium reservation. That’ll give you a spot with table seating and extra legroom in the first three rows of the top deck. All you have to do is click Add Extras when you book and then choose your seat.
