Same rivals, new trophy - as the Lionesses gear up to face Spain in an epic rematch of the 2023 world cup final, a tournament record of 16.6m football fans across the nation are set to tune in to see who will be crowned the winners of the 2025 UEFA Women’s Euros.

The Women’s UEFA Euro 2025 Spending Report, by VoucherCodes.co.uk, forecasts football fans will splash £184m on food, drink and other party essentials ready to celebrate the big match in style in hopes that the Lionesses can bring it home once again.

As the Lionesses head into a back-to-back Euros Final, excitement across the UK is hitting new highs with consumer spending forecast to exceed all other tournament matches.

Retail is set to score big from the final with £113m to be spent online and in-stores.

With Brits stocking up for the ultimate watch party a staggering £97.2m is set to be spent on food & drink alone. A further £6.8m will be spent on sportswear, £5m spent on merch, £2.6m on decorations, and £1.3m on electricals

Despite the majority of fans (12m) tuning in from the comfort of their own homes, the hospitality sector are set to cash in on the 4.5m fans who will be cheering on the Lionesses from pubs and bars.

During the final alone, a staggering £70.8m is expected to be splurged in hospitality venues -  over double the amount spent during both the quarter and semi-finals - as fans opt for a bigger atmosphere in hopes to witness the Lionesses bring it home again.

Over the whole Women’s Euros tournament, from the Group stages through to the Final, the UK economy is expected to have enjoyed an additional £801m from football fans - that’s £566.4m for retail and £234.6m for the hospitality sector.

Zoe Morris, Savings Expert at VoucherCodes.co.uk, comments: “After some tense viewing,  the Lionesses aim to make history yet again, with spending figures showing just how much this moment means to fans - the nation is ready to celebrate. The final is set to be the most viewed game of the summer, with consumer spending dramatically  increasing for both retail and hospitality since the quarter and semi-finals.”

“Of course, enjoying the final with family and friends doesn’t mean fans need to blow the full-time whistle on their budgets. With smart planning, there are plenty of ways to make a watch party memorable without breaking the bank. Share the load with friends and family by getting everyone to bring a dish, dig out old England merch, and keep the drinks chilled at home – you’ll still score a night to remember!”
